Self Catering Accommodation
Two self-catering cottages provide accommodation for 2 to 5 guests on our beef, sheep and arable family farm, both are furnished and equipped to a high standard and offer the peace and tranquillity of this quiet area with plenty of unrestricted off-road parking.
The Eden Valley has wonderful walks and we are on Alfred Wainwright's Pennine Journey
Fishing is available during the season and we are well situated for visiting the Lake District, Ullswater being the nearest lake. The Yorkshire Dales, Northern Pennines and Hadrian's Wall country are all easily accessible. View the properties and local area in our gallery.
High Slakes - Sleep up to 5
£350 to £520 per week, short breaks also available
High Slakes is a former farmhouse which provides spacious accommodation for 5 plus a baby. It is situated in a secluded position on the banks of our fishing lake with wonderful views over the Pennines and Lake District Fells. With an adjoining barn and walled garden it is the perfect retreat for a family break and with the nearest neighbour two fields away you can take the chance to escape from your busy world for a while.
The accommodation comprises briefly;
On the ground floor; fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine; dining room; lounge with TV, DVD, mini Hi-Fi; separate WC, conservatory.
On the first floor; two large bedrooms, one with king sized bed, one with twin beds; 1 small single room with 2'6" bed; bathroom with WC, wash basin, bath and separate shower. The adjoining barn provides a large space for storage, play or parking the car, the tumble drier is in here.
Outside is a large walled garden and a patio with garden furniture. There is full central heating with additional electric fire and heater, the lounge has a wood-burning stove and all fuel and electric is included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are also included with the exception of cot bedding. Cot and high chair are provided on request.
Pets are welcome by arrangement.
The Granary - Sleep 2/3
£250 to £300 per week, short breaks also available
This cottage is beautifully appointed and adjoins the farmhouse and B&B accommodation all built in the local red sandstone around a traditional cobbled yard. It provides a warm and comfortable retreat from which to explore the lovely Eden Valley countryside and villages.
The Granary has ground floor accommodation sleeping up to three people, briefly comprising of a hall leading to a fully equipped kitchen and to a living room. From the hall way is a double bedroom (extra single bed available) and a bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. There is a separate W.C. and cupboard from the hall-way. Amenities include - colour T.V., DVD player, microwave, shaver point, shower, washer, fridge-freezer, electric fire in lounge, full central heating and all fuel and power is provided and included. Cot and feeding chair are available upon request. Bed linen and towels are included. There is a small balcony and shared gardens with ample parking
The Granary is also suited to the disabled or infirm being all on one level with wide doorways and hand grips in bath and shower.
